DIY-Toolkit |
The Ubikwiti application comes with built-in DIY tools for DIY-GUI and DIY-Configuration.
The DIY tools provide a point-and-click, wizard-based, WYSIWYG (“what-you-see-is-what-you-get”), zero-learning-curve environment for you to quickly develop and enhance components. |

DIY-GUI helps you paint the screens and reports, set business rules, and utilize 3rd party web services for your components. |
DIY-Configuration helps you to complete the component by adding the actions, linking with other related components, and positioning it to the relevant Navigator Bar of a Ubikwiti application |

DDE Script Editor |
| DDE Script Editor helps you to easily insert and modify DDE Script in your component. You can use DDE Script to control the behavior of your screen, orchestrate business processes, perform computations, validate user inputs, and set business rules or policies. |

Business Component Library |
| As a Ubikwiti developer, you will have access to business components in this library via U-KwikShop. You can customize existing components to develop a vertical market solution; create your own components based on the Ubikwiti Common Layer business objects; and integrate components to your existing applications |

Ubikwiti Extension Objects (EO) |
| If you have very complex business logic that you have difficulty implementing using the tools mentioned above, your solution is to build an Extension Object (EO). The Ubikwiti Platform requires EOs to be developed in Java in a predefined manner. Once you register the EO in your component definition file, the DDE will channel the process to your EO with the appropriate Data Transfer Object (DTO) during the execution of your component. This will give you unlimited flexibility to manœuver the business processes and implement complex business logic into your component. |
